Paying your Dues
Automotive comedian Dick O'Kane (how's that for an arcane
profession?) says that the main purpose of a car club is
to collect dues. That is not the case although it may
seem so.
Those of you who are charter members,
it is now time to renew your $10 dues to our regional
chapter, and some of you will also need to forward $25 to
CLC, Inc. Remember, membership in the CLC, Inc., is a
prerequisite for membership in our regional group.

April
Meeting
The members present at the Historic Ale House
overwhelmingly chose to continue on into next year with
the current officers - me, Duane Medley and Bill Coleman.
Thank you all for your vote of confidence and we pledge
not to disappoint you. There was further discussion on
the issue of membership chair and newsletter software
before the meeting dissolved into merriment. Our master
of the internet, Fred Hollins, won the Cadillac clock.
I'm sad I didn't win but Fred is a deserving guy; at
least I had it for a short time and will cherish the
memory.
Eldo
opp. ...
Potential member Kevin "Rocky" Holman informed
me that rock artist Mellencamp wants to sell his white
'56 Eldo convertible for $30,000 plus. If you buy it,
maybe you can get John to autograph the dashboard - then
you'd have a real collector's item. Call "The
Rock" at 281-583-9931.
